Alejandro Garnacho, valued at £50m, wants a move to Chelsea after falling out with Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim. The 20-year-old Argentine, who made 21 goal contributions in the 2024–25 season, upset teammates post-Europa League final loss. Despite interest from Napoli, he prefers staying in the Premier League.

For the 2025 summer transfer window, Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has made Chelsea his top destination, preferring a move within the Premier League over interest from Napoli. Valued at £50 million, the 20-year-old Argentine has reportedly fallen out with United manager Ruben Amorim and angered teammates by publicly criticizing the club after their 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the Europa League final on May 21. He called the season “s\*\*t” during a post-match interview, which insiders believe was a deliberate move to force an exit.

Garnacho’s management team had previously been spotted at a Chelsea game, and the player has directed his agent to communicate his preference to new Blues boss Enzo Maresca. A source claims Garnacho wants to become a global star and believes staying in England is the best way to achieve that, especially given Chelsea’s focus on young talent.

Despite contributing 21 goals and assists this season, Garnacho was left frustrated at being benched in the Europa League final. On the club’s tour of Asia, he refused to engage with fans or give interviews, further souring relations. He joined United in 2020 from Atletico Madrid’s youth system and is now pushing for a fresh start.
