FC Barcelona has confirmed Robert Lewandowski stay until 2026 after meeting the 55% match clause. Despite criticism, he scored 35 goals in 40 games, proving his value. His salary will reduce from €32 million to €26 million gross. Barça still plans to sign a young forward but values Lewandowski's experience.

In the latest update on Robert Lewandowski's future at FC Barcelona, the club has decided to retain the Polish striker for another season despite concerns about his age and physical performance. Lewandowski, who turns 36, has proven his worth by scoring 35 goals in 40 matches this season, reaffirming his role as the team's main attacking force. His recent goal against Atlético Madrid further showcased his instinct and quality in front of goal.

Lewandowski’s contract included an automatic renewal clause triggered by playing 55% of the season's matches for at least 45 minutes, which he has met. Consequently, he will stay at the club until 2026. However, the major revelation is his adjusted salary. Previously earning 32 million euros gross per season, Lewandowski will now accept a reduced salary of 26 million euros gross in 2026 — a 6 million euro cut.

Despite the reduction, Lewandowski remains among the highest earners in the squad and a crucial part of Hansi Flick’s plans. Barcelona still aims to sign a young forward as a long-term replacement but values Lewandowski’s experience and leadership. The club plans to make his new contract official after the international break, confirming his continuity in leading the attack alongside Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
