Harry Kane says his desire to return to the Premier League has faded after leaving England in 2023. The 33 year old Bayern Munich striker scored 61 goals in 51 appearances last season, winning the Bundesliga and German Cup.

Kane has 213 Premier League goals, compared with Alan Shearer’s record of 260. He remains focused on Bayern Munich and his family’s settled life in Germany.

As the 33 year old Harry Kane enters the final season of his current Bayern Munich contract, his potential return to the Premier League appears less certain than before. Kane has previously been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and FC Barcelona, although neither possibility has developed beyond speculation. His latest comments suggest that Bayern remains his priority.

Kane enjoyed the best season of his career last campaign, scoring 61 goals in 51 appearances and helping Bayern Munich win both the Bundesliga and German Cup. He also received the European Golden Shoe on Wednesday, highlighting his outstanding scoring record. Before leaving Tottenham in 2023, Kane scored 213 Premier League goals, putting him 47 goals behind Alan Shearer’s record of 260. A return to England could have given him another opportunity to chase that milestone. However, Kane admitted that the desire to return is no longer as strong as it once was.

The striker explained that moving to Germany changed his perspective and increased his appreciation for football outside England. He also highlighted his happiness in Munich, his settled family life and confidence in Bayern’s team and manager. While Kane has not completely ruled out a future Premier League return, his immediate focus remains firmly on Bayern Munich.
