Kane’s current deal runs until the summer of 2027 and includes a release clause of £57 million. Despite speculation about moves to leagues where he could earn much more, Matthäus feels Kane is settled with his wife and four children and shows no desire for a change.

The 32-year-old is enjoying another prolific season, scoring 26 Bundesliga goals with 12 matches still to play. His main target is the single-season record of 41 goals set by Robert Lewandowski. Kane recently reached 500 career goals after scoring twice in a 3-0 win over Werder Bremen, becoming the first English player to achieve that mark.
