Lucknow Super Giants played its first IPL season in 2022 and were able to showcase impressive performances. The team finished at the 3rd spot in the league stages, with 9 wins in 14 matches. However, in the Eliminator match, they lost the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 14 runs, as Rajat Patidar from RCB smashed a century to help his team win. LSG's run in its first playoffs was short, but the team was able to showcase its dominance.
