Rohit Sharma's good form and calmness rubbed off on me: Buttler

"That obviously rubbed off on me that he was in such good form and was so calm, I think that got the adrenaline going. It really settled me down.

"It's great to have Rohit at the other end. He's a very calm character. He had everything under control, and the way he was playing he obviously had a lot of confidence that he will be there till the end and win the game," Buttler told PTI.

Buttler, who has been on an impressive run of form off late, also insisted that he is focusing more on the cricket, rather than the glitz and glamour of the IPL.

"In the World Twenty20 we played at the same venue a couple of times, so obviously did not experience all the conditions. Personally, I've been playing well for a few months. Coming into the World T20, I had a decent tour to South Africa in ODIs and T20s. Having played my first IPL game and seen what's it all about there was less surprises today. I was sort of more focussed on cricket today as opposed to having that wall factor of the crowd and the razzmatazz of the IPL," Buttler said.

Meanwhile, KKR batsman Manish Pandey, who played an impressive knock of 52 against the Mumbai Indians, felt that his team should have reached 200 after the start they received in the match.

"With the way we started, probably we should have got 200. At least myself, Gautibhai (Gautam Gambhir) or Russell should have stayed till the end.

"In the middle overs we were thinking 200, that's what we were discussing. After I got out Russell had a decent partnership with the captain. There was a stage when there were new batsmen at both the ends. It's not easy for any team to have two new batsmen on the crease and go for it. That's what we lacked a bit.

"The wicket became a little better and it gave a little bit of advantage. I think that's what Mumbai capitalised on. Now we lost the game we might think we're 20 runs short. Overall it's a good effort by our team," Pandey said.
