The Supreme Court has cleared the release of Rs 1.33 crore by the Indian cricket board for the remaining two Test matches between India and England. The SC has also allowed the BCCI to spend Rs 25 lakh each for the three ODIs and three T20Is between the two countries to be played next month.

The BCCI had previously requested for a clearance of Rs 3.79 crore for the six overs-limit matches between India and England to be played between Jan 15 and Feb 1.

The SC also directed the BCCI to furnish all the expenses incurred during the ongoing Test series, to be audited by the SC-appointed auditor. The bench, headed by the CJI, TS Thakur, also told the BCCI that all payments should be made directly to the concerned parties.
