After missing the first ODI in Dharmasala due to viral fever, Suresh Raina has been sidelined for the second ODI in Delhi as the team's medical staff deemed Thursday to be insufficient time for Raina to recover. This could mean an extended chance for middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav.

It appears Suresh Raina will have to wait a little longer to make his comeback into the Indian side after playing his last ODI in October 2015. The southpaw will not be a part of the second ODI match which is scheduled to take place in Delhi on Thursday, as the team's medical staff has said that is insufficient time for him to recover from a bout of viral fever.

Raina, who is currently captaining Uttar Pradesh, was also unable to bat in the first round of the Ranji Trophy on October 6. No replacement has been named by the team management.

Kedar Jadhav, the Maharashtra batsman who replaced Raina in the first ODI, could be given an extended chance in the team.

The second ODI will be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi on October 20.
