The Indian team suffered with its first-ever loss to Ireland yesterday. And this loss came after a captaincy change, with Suryakumar Yadav being replaced by Shreyas Iyer. Fans have started to react to this loss, as they miss Suryakumar Yadav as a captain.

The start for the Indian team's preparations for the 2028 T20 World Cup has not gone well. With Shreyas Iyer starting his era as a captain, he created a record which no other captain would have wanted. India played its first T20I against Ireland, and were the clear favourites, noting their status as the World champions.

But the match didn't go as the team expected it to. First, Ireland went on to score a massive total of 182 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Prasidh Krishna was costly, as he conceded 57 runs in four overs. Following this, the Indian batters struggled in the Irish conditions, as they failed to score runs.

Except Abhishek Sharma, no other batsmen was able to reach the 30-run mark. As a result, India went on to lose the game by 48 runs, marking its first ever T20I loss against Ireland.

Fans are now missing Suryakumar Yadav, as they reacted to the loss on Twitter.

Celebrations Begins

Suryakumar Yadav must have ordered 1 ton of chewing gum to celebrate India's loss. Everyone thought he was not a good captain, till he was gone.

Hundreds of Problems

There were a number of problems which the Indian team faced even when Suryakumar Yadav was the captain. But losing to Ireland was definitely not one of them.

Like for Like Replacement

Suryakumar Yadav was replaced by Shreyas Iyer as the captain. And when Shreyas Iyer failed to score runs in the first game, fans have started to call it a like-for-like replacement.
