David Warner has condemned Steven O'Keefe's behavior after the Aussie spinner was seen making some offensive comments during a Cricket Australia award function under the influence of alcohol. The left-arm spinner has now been banned from the Matador Cup and has been fined $20,000 for his antics.

Steven O'Keefe was one of the revelations on Australia's tour of India where he claimed 12 wickets in the Pune Test to secure Australia's only win of the series. However, the recent off-field incident has overshadowed his performance and has brought the bowler under serious criticism.

O'Keefe has a history of being notorious while intoxicated. The Aussie spinner was booked by New South Wales police last year for his inappropriate behaviour after consuming too much alcohol. O'Keefe repeated the same behaviour during an award ceremony where he made highly offensive comments in the presence of dignitaries from the Cricket Australia.

David Warner talked about the issue with Sportsalive where he said that it was not appropriate on O'Keefe's part but added that he would continue lending his teammate all the support he requires on and off the field.

"I was in a similar kind of scenario. But hopefully, Keefe will get all the support from to be back on the cricket field again. We will give him the right kind of help and as teammates will render him all support to help him," Warner said.

"Cricket Australia doesn't tolerate these things. It is really strict on these issues. It is very, very bad. O'Keefe should not have done that."
