Rohit Sharma was wrongly given out during Mumbai Indians' match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium yesterday and showed his dissent at the umpire's decision. The Mumbai skipper has now been reprimanded for his reaction by the match referee. The hosts won the match by four wickets.

Sharma was given out lbw in the 10th over by umpire CK Nandan after which he was seen gesturing angrily towards the umpire before waving his bat at Nandan before walking away. TV replays showed that the umpire had missed noticing a thick inside edge.

"Sharma admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials. For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding," an IPL release said.
