The Indian cricket board (BCCI) has doubled the cash reward for members of Team India who won four Test series in the 2016-2017 season from the previously announced Rs 50 lakhs to Rs one crore per player. This was decided at its SGM. However, there was no hike for the support staff.

Head coach Anil Kumble will get Rs 25 lakhs whereas batting coach Sanjay Bangar and fielding coach R Sridhar will take home Rs 15 lakh each.

A one-time benefit for women cricketers, proposed by the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA), will be given.

It was also decided that acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary, who is attending the important ICC meeting on April 24, will oppose the new financial model proposed by the ICC.
