WATCH | Ravindra Jadeja mimics Steve Smith's theatrics after brilliant ball
Irate with Steve Smith's antics after every ball, Ravindra Jadeja decided to take matters into his own hands as he mimicked the Aussie captain's routine that he does before taking his batting stance. The duo, however, saw the funny side as they laughed off the incident to continue with the game.
Having restricted India to a score of 105 in the first innings, Australia got a taste of their own medicine when they found themselves with a score of 23/2 after 7 overs. With India in the ascendency, Steve Smith decided it was time for some gamesmanship as he started taking some extra time in getting ready to face the ball.
The incident occurred in the 12th over of Australia's second innings, when Jadeja was bowling to Smith. Jadeja is known for bowling his overs quickly with Smith easily blocking his deliveries. Jadeja, however, came back with a brilliant delivery that left Smith stranded. The Aussie captain went on with his routine only to see Jadeja mimicking him at the nonstriker's end.
Both players saw the funny side of the incident and they play continued. At the moment, it looks like it is Smith who will have the last laugh having completed his half-century and taken Australia's lead to 300 with six wickets in hand.
