Ashwin equates Dhoni to Messi, Kohli to Ronaldo, and Yuvraj to Torres

Ravichandran Ashwin took the BCCI’s rapid fire interview, and the 30-year-old gave some fascinating answers.

Q: Which footballer resembles the following cricketers?

1. Ravichandran Ashwin

Ashwin: Arshavin. He is the one who closely resembles me. Not in terms of looks, but at least in terms of the name.

2. Virat Kohli

Ashwin: Cristiano Ronaldo.

3. MS Dhoni

Ashwin: Dhoni resembles Lionel Messi. Even in terms of the character, and the calmness that he exhibits.

4. Yuvraj Singh

Ashwin: I think he is Fernando Torres. Sticks around in the D and tries to get a header in.

Q: Book I am reading currently?

Ashwin: Mahabharata secrets.

Q: Name of your autobiography?

Ashwin: If I write my autobiography, it will be named “Out of my comfort zone”. I think it already exists, but I like the name.

Q: The weirdest thing about being famous?

Ashwin: That everybody judges you from a distance without knowing you. That is the most weirdest thing.

Q: An Eco-friendly choice you made recently?

Ashwin: I have stopped using plastics altogether. Even when I go to the hotels, I try and use paper bags or whatever is Eco-friendly.

Q: Dialogue from a movie that you like the most?

Ashwin: There is a dialog from the Three Idiots which I keep repeating. It says, “you have to be eligible for success”.

Q: The most romantic thing you have done for your partner?

Ashwin: Everyday is a romantic time for us. So, trying to be unromantic is probably the most romantic thing I have done in my life (laughs).

Q: The wardrobe that you would like to raid?

Ashwin: MS Dhoni. I really want to know what is inside his wardrobe.

Q: Your mother’s cuisine that you prefer the most?

Ashwin: Rava Upma.

Q: The song that is currently looping in your head?

Ashwin: Badri Badariyan from Coke Studio.

Q: How would you react if your daughter turned out to be a fan of another cricketer?

Ashwin: I do not know. Good for her!
