Hosts India came into the second T20 match against England at Nagpur needing a win to take the game to the decider. They were, however, let down by the Indian batsmen except for KL Rahul, but Jasprit Bumrah snatched a win from the jaws of sure defeat for the hosts as they leveled the series.

Brief scores: India 144/8 (KL Rahul 71(47), M Pandey 30(26), Jordan 3/22) defeated England 139/6 (Root 38(38), Stokes 38(27), Nehra 3/28, Bumrah 2/20)

Needing to stay alive in the series, India needed their batsmen to click. But only KL Rahul stood tall amid the ruins as the other batsmen came and went in a quick line to the dugout. India failed to find a boundary in the middle for more than 2 overs and eventually ended with just 144. Although England fell to 22/2 at one point, Joe Root steadied the innings allowing for Ben Stokes to come in and take the Indian bowling apart and take England close to victory. But right when it looked like the series was out of India's hands, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a tremendous 18th over, conceding just three runs, and then came back to bowl a decisive final over conceding two runs and taking two wickets!

Bad memories!

A tough comparison that though!

Not this nostalgia

And the Sena is not too far!

Early night at the VCA

That would be unfair

Hope!

Jonty would be proud

Fail!

If only Manish Pandey used that lifeline!

Sometimes it helps to have a home-bred umpires

What a day! What a lovely day!
