MS Dhoni maybe a senior statesman in any team that he plays for these days, but there’s no denying the fact that he’s still one of the best. Dhoni proved his worth for the umpteenth time, today, by timing his jump to perfection before taking a one-handed worldie to send Marlon Samuels packing.

Dhoni is no stranger to taking stunning catches, but even by his standards, Dhoni managed to pull off a blinder catch to dismiss Marlon Samuels in the ongoing match between Delhi Daredevils and Rising Pune Supergiant. The incident occurred in the 14th over of the Delhi innings, when Samuels tried to heave a Daniel Christian short delivery to the boundary.

But the West Indian misjudged the bounce on the ball could only manage a top edge. However, the deflection appeared to be clearing Dhoni and heading for the fine leg boundary when Dhoni pulled off one of the best catches of the IPL so far. The former Pune captain took a step backward, timed his jump to absolute perfection before grasping the ball with his fingertips.

The wicket came at a crucial time as Samuels had managed 27 runs off just 21 balls and was looking take the game away from the Pune team. But his dismissal left Delhi in trouble at 117 for 4 after 14 overs. If this catch is anything close to what Dhoni can produce in the future, he has truly given "Age is just a number" a whole new meaning.
