Junaid Khan in an interview on Saturday stated that Indian skipper Virat Kohli has failed time and again against the left-arm pacer. The 27-year-old has bagged Kohli's wicket thrice in the four matches conceding just 2 runs from 22 balls that he has bowled to the Delhi batsman.

India versus Pakistan has always been an anticipated affair and it is no different this time either as the two sides are set to clash on June 4 in the Champions Trophy. Unlike the World Cup and World T20, Pakistan leads India with two wins out of the three matches the two sides have played in the tournament. The war of words that comes before these clashes has become a customary part of the build up to the match between the arch rivals. On Saturday, it was Pakistani pacer Junaid Khan who fired the first words claiming Virat Kohli has failed against him.

“I have dismissed him in three out of the four matches we have faced each other. He is a brilliant batsman but he has failed against me,” Khan told The Express Tribune.

The left-arm pacer has conceded just two runs in the 22 balls he has bowled to the Delhi batsman. However, skipper Kohli is not perturbed by the hype and had earlier clarified his stance on the most-awaited tie of the competition.

"India, Pakistan game is always exciting but for us it is a game of cricket," Kohli said. "The hype around India-Pakistan game not always in our control," he added.

It would be interesting to see how Virat Kohli changes his approach while facing Junaid Khan at Birmingham but it is safe to say that it's going to be a great contest between the bat and ball.
