WATCH | Steve Smith responds to Glenn Maxwell's mockery with an imitation of his own

Maxwell had been asked to do an impression of the some players, past and present, by the creators of the Ashes game, Big Ant. He showed his talents by imitating different cricketing stars including Virender Sehwag, Justin Langer, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Brian Lara. Maxwell didn’t miss the chance to have a go at his skipper's unusual pre shot ritual. 

However, Smith took the imitation as a challenege and when asked if he would like to have a go at Maxwell, the Aussie skipper was only too happy to respond. Smith took the opportunity to remind Maxwell of one of the biggest blunders of his career. In the 2014 Big Bash League, Maxwell, playing for the Melbourne Stars against Brisbane Heat, tried to come down the track and smash a Ryan Duffield delivery out of the park. He sensed that the ball was too wide for him to hit in cleanly and the 28-year-old let it go. However, the ball wasn't that wide and it ended up crashing into the stumps. After the wicket Maxwell just stood there shocked at what he had just witnessed. Smith, on the other hand, after recreating the shot perfectly, stood there with a big smile on his face.
