The Twitterati went into meltdown as Kuldeep Yadav became only the 3rd Indian to pick up a hat-trick in ODIs after Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev. When the momentum appeared to be with Australia, Kuldeep came in a wrecked havoc and stopped the visitors from chasing down the 253-run target.

Brief scores: India 252/10 (Virat Kohli 92, Ajinkya Rahane 55; Nathan Coulter-Nile 3/51, Kane Richardson 3/55) beat Australia 202/10 (Steve Smith 59, Marcus Stoinis 62*; Kuldeep Yadav 3/54,  Bhuvneshwar Kumar 3/9) by 50 runs.

Here are some tweets from the match:

Once the teams were confirmed!

Well, this is Rohit Sharma's favourite hunting ground!

Expectation....

... but in reality!

Thankfully Virat Kohli and Rahane were there to rescue India from the early blow!

Looked like it was a repeat of Bangladesh for the Australian players!

But then Disaster struck for India!

Rahane's routine!

Nervous 90s for Kohli!

Now that's an interesting fact!

What a way to open the Australian innings!

When things were going well for Australia, this happened!

But then the real storm hit Australia and its name was Kuldeep Yadav!

Kuldeep joins an elite list of players!

Sirji with a cameo!

Eden Gardens is special for a reason!

These two have been immense in this series!
