In what was a repeat of 2017, the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium made the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday extra special as they sang ‘Happy Birthday’ in unison to wish the Master Blaster. Celebrating his 45th birthday, Tendulkar also cut a cake on the sidelines of the MI-SRH game.

Sachin Tendulkar is not a cricketer, he is an emotion, especially in India. He has a God-like figure and stature in the country and all this because of his 24-year-long service to the India cricket team. He is undoubtedly one of the best batsmen to have played the game and is statistically the best batsman in the history of the game as well.

Ever since he retired from the game in 2013, he has been closely following the game and the Indian cricket team. He was Mumbai Indians’ icon player and he played for six years in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he scored 2334 runs in 78 games. Since playing his last IPL in 2013, the Mumbaikar has been associated with the franchise as the team’s mentor.

Last year, the Wankhede crowd surprised Sachin when they wished and sang the birthday song on the occasion of his 44th birthday. It was no different this year as the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium sang ‘Happy Birthday’ in unison for the second consecutive year.

The legendary batsman who turned 45 today (April 24) also was made to cut a cake on the sidelines of the ongoing match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was a special moment for Tendulkar as a jam-packed Wankhede crowd wished and sang on the special occasion.
