Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar has been selected in the Indian Under-19 squad for the two four-day matches in Sri Lanka to be held next month. The left-arm seamer was a part of the Mumbai Under-19 squad last year in the Cooch Behar Trophy where he managed to secure 18 wickets.

The All-India Junior Selection Committee met today in Bengaluru to pick the India U19 squads for two four-day games & five one-days against hosts Sri Lanka, which are slated to be held from 11th July to 11th August 2018 and Tendulkar junior will be a prominent feature for Team India in the four-day format.

Apart from his impressive performances in the Cooch Behar Trophy, the 18-year-old has featured in the net sessions of various international teams multiple times. Last year, his yorker caused an injury scare for Jonny Bairstow during a practice session ahead of England’s Test match against South Africa at Lord's last year.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s Anuj Rawat has been named as the skipper for the four-day squad, while Aryan Juyal will lead the one-day squad in the five-match series. However, Rahul Dravid will not be a part of the team set-up this time as he will be accompanying the India 'A' team which are scheduled to tour England during the same period. In the absence of the legendary cricketer, WV Raman will take over the coaching duties of the team.
