Sachin Tendulkar revealed his doubts over the decision to exclude T20 World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni from the T20 squad ahead of the upcoming series against West Indies and Australia. Tendulkar added that India have ‘the perfect chance’ to go to Australia and beat the home team Down Under.

MS Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the most successful captains in the sport of cricket over the past decade or so. His ability to get the best out of his players, to make crucial decisions and to step in and lead the side when required have made him an indispensable commodity in the Indian team over the last 10 years. However, age catches up to everyone and Dhoni was no different.

A dip in form over the last six months has resulted in the exclusion of the World Cup winning captain from the T20I squad for the upcoming series against West Indies and Australia, a decision which has not gone done well with the Indian cricket fans.

Sachin Tendulkar does not seem to be satisfied with the BCCI selection committee’s decision to drop Dhoni from the Indian squad. Tendulkar asked the committee, led by MSK Prasad, to think matters through before making any permanent call on the issue at hand.

"I don’t know what’s the mindset of the selectors is & I haven’t looked to influence anyone by giving opinions as what happens in dressing room & between captain, coach & selectors should stay within them. Whatever they are planning whatever decisions are taken should be in the best interest in the nation," Tendulkar told ANI.

The legendary batsmen gave his opinion on the upcoming Indian tour to Australia. The Master Blaster said this Indian team under Virat Kohli has got what it takes to win a series in Australia, especially in the absence of the dangerous duo of Steven Smith and David Warner.

"Possibly our best chance to go out there and beat them. If you see the Australia teams in the past and compare them to this one, yes we have a perfect chance" concluded Sachin.
