Krunal Pandya has remarked that the surface at the M Chinnaswamy stadium looks good and that the team expects a lot of runs from the match. He also backed the team management for not choosing an extra bowling option and said that the bowlers selected in the game were match-winners on a given day.

Krunal Pandya had a good outing with the ball as he bowled economically in the low scoring encounter and finished with figures of 1 for 17 in four overs. He had also effected the run out of in-form player Darcy Short between the run of play.

India is set to lock horns with Australia in the series decider at the M Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru and the ground is expected to be jam-packed as it is Virat Kohli-led RCB’s home ground too.

"The wicket looks good here. I guess it would be better than what it was in Vizag and we expect more runs on this wicket,” Pandya was quoted as saying by the ToI.

The left-arm spinner also reflected on critics (For voicing that India playing exactly five bowlers had affected the course of the match in the first T20I) saying, "Nothing like that. The five that we have are all quality bowlers who match-winners on a given day."

The elder of the Pandya brothers was picked to represent India in the shorter format against West Indies in 2018 and since then he has shielded his place in the ranks with above par performances in the series down under. Till date, he has played 10 T20I matches for India with 70 runs in 5 innings and 11 wickets under his cap. He won the man-of-the-match award twice in ten matches.
