Kedar Jadhav has stated that whenever the Indian team was in trouble one player or the other have taken the responsibility and made sure that the team wins the match. After winning the Test series, India also defeated the hosts in a bilateral ODI series 2-1 yesterday for the first time ever.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli made three changes in the squad for the final ODI match against Australia. Two players in Yuzvendra Chahal and Kedar Jadhav, who played their first match in the three-match series, made match-winning contributions for the team's cause. While Chahal picked six wickets limiting Australian total to 230, Jadhav scored an unbeaten half-century to take India home.

"I feel really good, winning the one-day series after the Test series. Good feeling going into the World Cup which is just a few months away. The way this team is shaping up, I'm just enjoying being in this team. Every individual has put his hand up whenever the team has needed it, that's the best part,” Jadhav told Chahal in BCCI's video segment - Chahal TV.

Jadhav made unbeaten 61 runs and weaved a 121-run unbeaten partnership with MS Dhoni to take India to victory. Dhoni too remained unbeaten on a score of 87. Jadhav also praised the former skipper and stated that he was one of the reasons that he himself was able to stay till the end and finish the match.

"This was my first match here and the last of the series. So I wanted to spend as much time in the middle as possible. Normally I score at a strike rate of 100 so I knew if I stay till the end we will get closer to the target. The biggest factor was I had Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the other end," explained Jadhav.

After facing criticism for his slow innings in the first match, Dhoni excelled in the second and third matches to take the Indian team to victory. Dhoni was also adjudged the Man of the Series for his scintillating performance all throughout the series.

"Whenever I had any questions in my mind I would look at him and get my answers. Batting becomes easier whenever he is at the other end. It's like your batting with two heads and one head is his. That is always an advantage," informed the Maharashtra cricketer.

"We discussed which bowler to target and after how many overs whenever there was a 10-15 balls gap between the runs required and deliveries left to play. And how do we reduce that gap. We calculated all that and the numbers changed after every over."
