Cricket is a funny game and ever fails from springing some amusing moments every now and then. In what could be considered as the funniest dismissal this IPL, a huge mix-up between Sanju Samson and Mahipal Lomror cost the former his wicket and also resulted in Rajasthan conceding the start to Delhi.

After a shaky start, the Royals were finding it difficult to negotiate the pumped Delhi Capitals’ bowling attack. They lost two key wickets in first four overs and at the crease were Sanju Samson and Mahipal Lomror, who were trying to steady the Royals’ ship.

On the second delivery of the fifth over, Samson pushed an Axar Patel delivery to cover and attempted to sneak a single. There was no single, but in a rush of blood, perhaps, and Samson kept running despite Lomror saying no for the run. The only thing anyone could hear at that moment was, “Yes, no, yes, no, no.”

While the confusion was at its peak, Prithvi Shaw made no mistake in collecting the ball and had all the time in the world to get it to the wicketkeeper. The Royals lost another key wicket as Delhi continued to tighten the noose around them.

Samson would have been certainly disappointed by his mode of dismissal, but there is hardly anyone can do in such a crunch moment. It’s a matter of a few seconds that decide the fate of a batsman, and both the batsman looked dejected.
