Shahid Afridi’s lie about his age is shameful, says Imran Farhat
Out of favour Pakistan batsman Imran Farhat has stated that Shahid Afridi’s lie about his age is shameful and even went on to term him as a selfish player. Afridi has made many sensational claims in his autobiography “Game Changer” and has stirred a lot of controversy for the same.
All these years it was stated that Shahid Afridi was born in 1980. However, in his recently released autobiography “Game Changer”, the former Pakistan all-rounder has revealed that he was actually born in 1975. "I was born in 1975. So, yes, the authorities stated my age incorrectly,” he said.
This would mean that he was around 21 when he smashed his first century against Sri Lanka but bizarrely, he claimed that his age of 19. For the record, I was just nineteen, and not sixteen like they claim," he added.
Afridi’s sensational claim, over three years after his retirement, has cooked up a storm and even his former teammate Imran Farhat has joined the discussion. He targeted Afridi in a series of tweets from his official handle.

Farhart, who represented Pakistan in 40 Tests and 58 ODIS, had even called up other players to speak the truth against the former Pakistan captain.
