Match tickets for the final encounter of the ongoing Indian Premier League were sold out in 120 seconds, which has created a stir among the fans and the fraternity. Mumbai Indians have already qualified for the ultimate game, whereas CSK and DC will battle it out in Qualifier 2 to advance to final.

Cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties, where incredible things happen on the field. But as a turn of events, an unexpected and mind-boggling event, which happened off the field, has left many bewildered. The match tickets for the final event of the tournament were sold in 120 seconds, an incident that has also questioned the accountability.

The tickets went on sale on Tuesday without any prior notice by the BCCI after the announcement was made through a flyer in the morning. People who went on to buy the tickets were left surprised as all the tickets were sold out in a span of two minutes.

"How can all the tickets be sold within minutes? It is quite baffling and the BCCI has to give an answer for depriving the fans of a chance to watch the final," a former HCA executive committee member said, reported Times Of India.

The final that is scheduled in Hyderabad has a capacity of over 39,000 and on a general basis; around 25 to 30 thousand tickets are put on sale. But there is no clarity on the number of tickets that were put on sale this time. Booking website EventsNow also denied from providing any information regarding the number of tickets being sold on their website.

"Sudheer Reddy of EventsNow was quoted saying, "I cannot give any details. We are selling tickets that have been given to us. It is the BCCI who should give out the details; we are not authorised to do so.”
