Former English captain Michael Vaughan has mocked his former teammate Marcus Trescothick after the latter slipped twice while running between the wickets. After calling it a day from the international arena back in 2008, Trescothick continues to feature in First-Class cricket for Somerset.

Age is just a number for English cricketer Marcus Trescothick as the southpaw continues to play First-Class cricket for Somerset at the age of 43. In a domestic game, Trescothick slipped twice while running between the wickets and his former teammate Michael Vaughan was quick to spot it and share it on his official Instagram handle with a hilarious caption.

Trescothick’s partner pulled the ball and three runs looked imminent, but Trescothick not only slipped while completing the first run but also while the kissing the crease for the second. His two slips denied him the third run and gave the fans a moment to cherish. Vaughan, who is known for his wit, was not going to miss it and took the opportunity to take a dig at the southpaw.

Vaughan shared the video of Trescothick slipping with a caption that reads: “This will not be bettered this year ... The Art of running between the wickets by @marcustrescothick !!!!!!

The southpaw hung his boots at the international level back in 2008 due to stress related issues. Trescothick represented England in 76 Tests, 123 ODIs and three T20Is and has amassed 10326 runs including 26 centuries and fifth half-centuries across formats.
