SRH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has stated that he feels no pressure of playing as a senior player for his side in the IPL. Bhuvi also quashed the theory that the UAE pitches will give an upper hand to bowlers and said that batsmen will find a way to score runs in the upcoming season of the IPL.

Indian and SRH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar will finally be back in action after missing out cricket the whole year. The last couple of years has seen the swing bowler getting injured over and again. The Meerut pacer has represented SRH in 96 games, taking 109 wickets, and is one of the senior men in the side, especially when it comes to the bowling department.

He, however, made it clear that with seniority comes no pressure but added that there is responsibility and desire to perform well for the side. The 30-year-old also talked about the impact of playing IPL behind doors without a crowd as fans, generally, 'motivate' players with their presence.

"Well, there's no pressure at all because the team is never dependent on any one player. It's about all 11 guys who contribute. Although being a senior player you always want to take more responsibility, there's no pressure at all.

"Fans always motivate you when they cheer for you or your team. Since no one has played any cricket for months, so everyone in the squad is hungry and motivated to go back to the field, play, and give his best shot," the right-handed pacer was quoted as saying by the IANS.

The SRH bowler also feels every team has chances of lifting the IPL trophy and expressed his desire to win the coveted trophy for his franchise. He also added that no matter how the pitches behave, 'batsmen' will always find ways to score runs.

"I think every team has got fairly equal chances of winning the title. Talking about SRH, indeed, we are preparing well and definitely want to win it."

"I wouldn't say bowlers will have an upper hand completely because both the batsman and bowler find out a way to score runs or take wickets, even if the pitches are not suitable for them. That is how this game is," he said.

Bhuvi's first IPL 2020 assignment will be against Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore side at the Dubai International Stadium on September 21.
