Marcus Stoinis has revealed that he always looks for areas where the bowlers can bowl and thus accordingly implements his game plan to get the better of them. The Man of the Match from last night’s game has also talked about the importance of feeding off everyone’s energy during the IPL.

Marcus Stoinis started cautiously after a great Delhi Capitals collapse, but in the last over, the Aussie made Chris Jordan, easily one of the finest death-over bowlers around, to a joke, accumulating as many as 30 runs in the last over. That proved to be the ultimate differentiator even though Mayank Agarwal played a terrific innings of beauty and elegance. Talking about the process, the Aussie revealed that he looks for areas where the bowler would land the ball and he accordingly plans his shots.

“It’s a weird game, sometimes the luck goes your way, but it’s easy to become the villain from the hero. So it’s important to enjoy the good days. I try to close down the areas where the bowlers can bowl, and it worked today,” Stoinis told Star Sports.

Not only with the bat but Stonis was also the hero with the ball as well, defending two runs in the last three balls, which included two back-to-back wickets of Agarwal and Chris Jordan. With the game ending in a tie, Kagiso Rabada bowled one over of absolute authenticity to land Punjab a victory. Stoinis lauded the South African pacer and talked about the importance of feeding off everyone’s energy during the IPL.

“It’s important to feed off everyone’s energy. It’s nice that the IPL has gotten going again, and tonight has been great entertainment. I thought KG bowled a beautiful over, but I think the left-right batting combination was the right thing,” the Victorian added.
