Mumbai Indians lost their second consecutive game of the tournament against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday after Jos Buttler's heroics with the bat. Suryakumar Yadav has been out of action for the Mumbai Indians due to a finger injury that he sustained earlier in the year which is a concern for MI.

Mumbai Indians were defeated by Rajasthan Royals in their second match of IPL 2022 which is now two defeats in a row for the five-time champions. Jos Buttler was the star with the bat for Rajasthan Royals as he scored the first century of IPL 2022. Buttler raced away to his 100 in just 63 balls smashing the MI bowlers all around the park. The Mumbai-based franchise will need to bounce back in the tournament or else they will be left behind in what can be very competitive towards the end of the league stage.

MI batter Suryakumar Yadav has been out of action due to a finger injury which is another reason for Mumbai's struggles this season. The right-handed batter has not yet recovered from his finger-injury and skipper Rohit Sharma made it absolutely clear that he will play when he is fully fit.

During the post match presentation Rohit Sharma said, "He is a key player for us. Once he gets fit, he comes in straight but we want him to recover since finger injuries are tricky".
