Gujarat Titans beat Delhi Capitals at the MCA stadium in Pune to register back-to-back victories in the two games that they have played so far. Shubman Gill was the star with the bat for the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat team as he helped his team post 171 runs which proved to be match-winning for them.

Gujarat Titans defeated Delhi Capitals in their second match of IPL 2022 by 14 runs. Delhi Capitals were beaten in all departments by the Gujarat team and Hardik Pandya led his side from the front with both bat and ball. The India all-rounder whose fitness has been questioned in the recent past was seen bowling at speeds of 140 kmph. He scored 31 from 27 balls and took a single wicket during the match.

However, it was Shubman Gill who was the star with the bat for his side as he looked in tremendous form while he was at the crease. Gill struck 6 fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 182.60 before being dismissed for 84 by Khaleel Ahmed. For Delhi, Mustafizur Rehman was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets for just 23 runs in his quota of four overs.

Delhi Capitals' top-order failed to fire yet again as Lockie Ferguson completely rattled their batters taking 4 wickets in the game. Rishabh Pant led the fightback for his side scoring 43 from 29 balls but could not take his side to the finish line. Mohammed Shami also took two wickets towards the end of the game.

Here is how Twitter reacted:
