During the South Africa first innings batting on Day 2, India Test captain Virat Kohli made a funny comment after Marco Jansen played a shot against Mohammed Shami, saying "Oh yes what a shot, no run". Jasprit Bumrah claimed a fifer on the second day's play in the series decider at Newlands.

India speedster Jasprit Bumrah got his team the start they wanted by dismissing Aiden Markram for eight runs on the second delivery of the day. Umesh Yadav, who was included in the Indian playing XI for the third Test match in place of the injured Mohammed Siraj castled nightwatchman Keshav Maharaj in his second over of the day.

Indian pacers continued their good run on the second day's play and scalped wickets at regular intervals. Yadav once again struck for India as he dismissed van der Dussen in the 40th over. Mohammed Shami struck twice in the 56th over as he scalped the wicket of Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne.

Marco Jansen, who walked out to bat after the dismissal of Verreynne tried his best to play shots against the Indian bowlers. During an over bowled by Mohammed Shami, Jansen tried to play a shot through the covers and the ball was stopped by the fielder. Reacting to this, Indian captain Virat Kohli made a funny comment, "Oh yes what a shot, no run". Jansen was then castled by Bumrah with a brilliant delivery and the off-stump was seen going for a cartwheel.

Jasprit Bumrah claimed a fifer in the first innings of the Cape Town Test and helped his side to restrict South Africa to a total of 210 runs.
