Rishabh Pant's rise in international cricket has been terrific as the young Indian wicket-keeper batter has consistently done well for India. The left-handed batter is known for his exploits with the bat and has shown that he is a match-winner who can take the game away from his opponents at any time.

However, the young Rishabh Pant’s abilities behind the stumps have improved quite a bit since the time he made his debut. Pant has often been praised for the way he has improved his wicket-keeping skills since the time he arrived on the international scene.

The left-handed batter revealed the reason behind him taking up wicketkeeping at an early age.

"I am trying to give my 100 percent in each game. I was always a wicket-keeper batsman. As a kid, I started doing wicket-keeping. My father was a wicket-keeper too. That's how I started wicket-keeping," Rishabh Pant said on the SG podcast.

Pant will be playing against South Africa in the upcoming series where he will be KL Rahul’s deputy in all the five matches that are to be played. The first match will be at his homeground in New Delhi at the Arun Jaitley stadium.
