Birthdays are just another day to let the world know that you exist, regardless of how good or bad it might be. Such was the case in the contest between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians where Rohit Sharma had a bad outing on his birthday when he got out cheaply, scoring just four runs.

‌Lucknow Super Giants captain opted to bowl first after their recent loss hoping for a strong start. Meanwhile, a packed Ekana Stadium buzzed as Mumbai Indians' Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma strode in with fans eager for birthday fireworks from the Indian skipper. Their partnership stuttered initially with just two runs off the first over before Sharma livened up the atmosphere with a boundary off Mohsin Khan's second ball in the second over. However, his innings was short-lived.

On the third ball of the second over, the 25-year-old quick bowled a full-length delivery to the birthday boy. Meanwhile, Sharma judged the line and length of the ball well as he aimed to drive between covers and point fielders. Unfortunately, he was unable to clear the gap as the drive led the ball to go directly to cover fielder Marcus Stoinis who took an easy catch. The Indian skipper regretted the shot immediately and yelled in frustration as he couldn't manage to score big on his big day as he walked back to the hut.

Twitter erupted in response to Rohit's departure, sharing their disappointment across social media platforms.
