Jharkhand wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan has received guidance from the selectors and is slated for his return to the domestic circuit. Kishan was previously excluded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India for opting out of the Ranji Trophy last year and is now preparing for his comeback.

‌According to a Cricbuzz report, Ishan Kishan is set to return to play for Jharkhand and might even take on a leadership role with the team. Although specific details are still emerging, it has been confirmed that Kishan has informed the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) of his availability for the upcoming season.

Kishan's decision to rejoin domestic cricket appears to have been influenced by several supporters and national selectors who advised him. They highlighted that neglecting domestic play could jeopardize his international career at a crucial time.

Between July 2021 and November 2023, Kishan featured in two Tests, 27 ODIs, and 32 T20Is, including a notable double century in ODIs and participation in India's 50-over World Cup squad last year.

Despite clear directives from selectors and the board, Kishan had previously opted out of the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season to focus solely on the IPL. His last appearance for India was in November 2023, and he has been absent from the national team after his absence from the Indian squad in South Africa last December.
