Records are often a path to legendary status, and in a way, clinch memories for fans. A prime example of this was during the match between Trent Rockets and Southern Brave in Southampton, where Kieron Pollard made history by whacking five consecutive sixes off Rashid Khan in Southampton.

Courtesy of a solid opening partnership between Adam Lyth and Tom Banton, Trent Rockets posted a total of 126/8 in their 20 overs. In response, Southern Brave started strongly with openers James Vince and Alex Davies reaching 39/0 in five overs. However, their middle order struggled as Trent's youngster John Turner took a superb three-wicket haul, leaving the Brave at 78/6 after 18 overs. Facing the daunting task of needing 49 runs off 20 balls, the spotlight was on Kieron Pollard for a potential match-winning performance.

Rashid Khan was handed the 17th set, tasked with dismissing the dangerous Pollard. The first delivery saw Pollard send a length ball sailing to cow corner for a six. Rashid's next ball was a leg break which was similarly dispatched over long-off. As Rashid began to panic, he delivered a fuller ball which Pollard smashed over the Afghanistan captain's head for another massive six. In an electrifying display, the big-hitter continued the assault, hitting the last two deliveries of Rashid’s over for consecutive monstrous sixes. This record-breaking performance thrilled the packed crowd in Southampton and sent waves of excitement through social media as fans celebrated Pollard’s extraordinary hitting.
