Few things energize a bowler like delivering an unplayable ball that results in a wicket on the opening day of a Test match. This was the scenario on the first day of the Test between the West Indies and South Africa when Jayden Seales produced a magnificent delivery to dismiss Tony de Zorzi.

‌Following a rain-affected Test match in Port of Spain that ended in a draw, a bright sunny day in Guyana ensured the timely commencement of the second Test between the West Indies and South Africa. South African captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bat, setting the stage for Aiden Markram and Tony de Zorzi to open the innings for the Proteas. The grass-filled pitch offered the West Indies pacers some bounce, and the South African scorecard read 8/0 after three overs. Thereafter, Jayden Seales delivered a superb ball providing the West Indies with their first breakthrough.

On the third delivery of the fourth over, Seales came over the wicket to Zorzi and bowled a fullish delivery that swung back in on off stump. Zorzi attempted to defend but misjudged the ball completely as it slipped through the gap between bat and pad. The ball crashed into the off stump, sending the bails flying in a spectacular display. Seales was visibly excited by the breakthrough and celebrated enthusiastically with his teammates. The Twitterverse quickly took to social media to praise the exceptional delivery.
