There is nothing special for a fast bowler to take an early wicket on the first over of a test match. This was evident on the second day of the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh when Taskin Ahmed delivered a stunning ball to dismiss Abdullah Shafique, giving his team a crucial success.

‌As the sun finally shone brightly over Rawalpindi, anticipation was high after a rain-marred first day that left fans eager for action. Bangladesh's captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, won the toss and chose to bowl first on a lively green pitch. Taskin Ahmed was entrusted with the new ball and made an immediate impact.

Taskin Ahmed delivered a crucial ball on the final delivery of the opening over, setting the stage for Bangladesh. The 29-year-old came over the wicket and dished a full-length delivery to Shafique. The ball pitched just outside off-stump and sharply nipped back in, catching Abdullah Shafique off guard. The Pakistan opener tried to defend the red cherry but left a significant gap between bat and pad. The gap allowed the ball to sneak through and crash into the stumps as Shafique departed for a duck. Taskin erupted in celebration as his teammates swarmed around him, while fans and social media buzzed with praise for the brilliant delivery that electrified the game.

That was some delivery!
