USA vs IND | Twitter reacts as Siraj buys into NBA Finals hype with stunning leap to latch onto blinder

Most humans crumble under pressure but some soak it all in the toughest of stages to shine like diamonds. Mohammed Siraj has time and again sown he loves the big stage and Wednesday was no different as he pulled off a catch for the ages just when India seemed to be under the pump against the USA.

‌The United States of America proved their mettle yet again on another unplayable New York deck by fighting back from 25/3 to put up a competitive total against on-song India. At one stage, the team even threatened to grasp all momentum and go well past the par score until a Mohammed Siraj special stopped the team in its tracks.

Nitish Kumar and Corey Anderson had combined for 25 runs off just 18 balls, rapid by Nassau County standards when the in-form Arshdeep Singh took the ball in the 15th over. The former remained unfettered and tried to capitalize on a short delivery by hoicking the Kookaburra over the long square-leg boundary. The former Canada skipper seemed to have just got enough on it to get the ball past the fielder even as Siraj backpedalled desperately attempting to judge the ball's trajectory. Eventually, the white rock seemed destined to sail past Nitish's head, only for the pacer to spring backwards sensationally from a slightly crouched position to grab the ball out of thin air.

The entire crowd gasped as one at the immaculate effort before roaring in celebration, a sentiment that was aptly mirrored by Twitterati.
