Surprises from others can elicit joy and excitement, but being awestruck by your actions can render you speechless. Such was the case with Scotland’s Mark Watt in his match against Australia, where his masterful delivery shattered Glenn Maxwell’s off stump, packing him at a meagre score.

‌Chasing a target of 181 runs set by Scotland, thanks to Brandon McMullen’s powerful innings, the Aussies stumbled early as David Warner departed in the second over without making an impact. However, Marsh and Travis Head built a resilient partnership of 32 runs, bringing the score to 34/1 in five overs. Scotland’s bowling attack regained momentum when Safyaan Sharif dismissed the Australian skipper in the sixth over, shifting the pressure to Glenn Maxwell to anchor the innings. But Maxwell's anticipated heroics were short-lived, courtesy of Mark Watt's beautiful delivery.
On the second ball of the ninth over, Watt came around the wicket and bowled a  off-break that pitched on a length on the middle stump before turning sharply away. The ball kissed the outside edge of Maxwell's bat as he attempted to defend, and then it sneaked past to hit the top of the off stump. As the bails flew, Maxwell sighed in disappointment but acknowledged the brilliance of the delivery with a gesture of appreciation. Meanwhile, Watt stood in astonishment, his hand over his mouth in disbelief at the perfection of his delivery.

The Twitterverse erupted in praise for Watt’s exquisite delivery, with fans taking to social media to celebrate the moment.
