For a bowler, there's no sweeter music than the sound of stumps being shattered. Such was the scene in the second eliminator clash between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, where Luke Wood delivered a mesmerizing ball that completely bamboozled Azam Khan, leaving him stunned and silent.

Chasing 186 runs put up by Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United suffered a disastrous start, losing four crucial top-order batsmen within the powerplay. By the end of the powerplay, the United found themselves struggling at 50/4, with Imad Wasim and Azam Khan at the crease. Despite the adversity, the pair exhibited commendable determination, forging a resilient 35-run partnership that propelled their side to 85/4 after 10 overs. However, their promising alliance was abruptly halted by Peshawar's Luke Wood, who claimed the wicket of Azam Khan in the following over.

On the last ball of the 11th over, Luke Wood unleashed a perfectly pitched full delivery aimed at the middle and leg stump. Azam, caught off guard by the deceptive line, attempted a forceful drive across the line. However, the Kookaburra outfoxed him, sneaking through the gap between bat and pad with precision, and clattering into the middle stump. The 25-year-old batsman stood bewildered, taking a moment to register his dismissal, while Wood erupted into a jubilant sprint reminiscent of Imran Tahir's exuberant celebrations. The Peshawar contingent joined in, showering Wood with applause for his remarkable feat. Having been well-set, Azam appeared crestfallen as he walked back to the pavilion at a sombre pace.

Twitter erupted with praise for Wood's exceptional delivery, with fans flooding social media platforms to marvel at the momentous ball.
