Rivalries may exist both on and off the field, but when it comes to captaincy, it's essential to respect the leader's decisions This was evident during the match between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians, as MI captain Hardik Pandya exercised his authority by instructing Rohit Sharma to long-on.

‌In their respective curtain raisers of IPL 2024, Hardik Pandya, the newly appointed captain of Mumbai Indians sent Shubman Gill and co. to bat first after winning the coin flip. While the GT top-order tried to take down the MI bowling from the start, the 30-year-old stamped his authority as the franchise’s captain with one of the camera angles spotting Hardik compelling Rohit Sharma to field at the deep.

The current Indian skipper has been fielding within the 30-yard circle for quite some time. It has been ages since one spotted him field at the deep until in this contest against GT as one of the camera angles caught Hardik compelling his predecessor to field at long-on. This came as a surprise to Rohit who hesitated for once, but eventually strolled towards the edge of the boundary ropes.  The Twitterverse closely followed this game and buzzed around on this incident.

Why Hardik why??

This looks bad!
