A team consistently relies on their primary fast bowler to set the tone and secure early wickets. This was evident in the performance of Trent Boult for Rajasthan Royals, as he swiftly dismissed Quinton de Kock and Devdutt Padikkal during the powerplay, laying a solid foundation for RR.

‌Chasing 194 runs set by Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants faced early setbacks when opener Quinton de Kock fell victim to Trent Boult in the very first over. With attention then turning to Devdutt Padikkal and KL Rahul to steer the innings for the Super Giants, hopes were dashed as the Royals' premier speedster showcased his bowling skills once again.

In a dramatic turn of events, Boult dished a menacing bouncer at Padikkal on the first ball of the third over. Attempting a pull shot, Padikkal lost sight of the ball, which struck his helmet forcefully, sending his neckguards flying. The LSG physio rushed onto the field as concussion protocol loomed. Following a brief assessment, the 23-year-old Karnataka batsman was cleared to resume batting only to find himself dumbstruck by a Boult jaffa.

The aftermath of the intimidating bouncer proved pivotal as Boult delivered a well-directed length ball on the subsequent delivery. Padikkal, unsettled by the earlier blow, failed to move his feet properly and missed the line as he tried to slog it over mid wicket, resulting in his dismissal as the ball sneaked past the bat and pad, uprooting the middle stump.

The Twitter community marvelled at Boult's exceptional bowling display, sparking discussions across social media platforms.
