Minute perfections can be very impactful in an intense game like cricket and Nitish Kumar Reddy of Sunrisers Hyderabad exemplified it on Wednesday. As Quinton de Kock looked to score big after a comeback to the playing XI, a brilliant catch from Nitish in the deep spoilt the Proteas' moment.

Winning the toss, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bat first. However, he and Quinton de Kock failed to offer a brilliant start as Bhuvneshwar Kumar baited the southpaw early, courtesy of an acrobatic effort at the edge of the boundary ropes from Nitish.

Having conceded 13 runs in the first two overs, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled on a good length outside the stumps, testing the batter against the short ball. De Kock fell for it and tried to pull it towards deep square leg. He almost got it over the ropes but Nitish at the edge of the cushions leaped and managed to push the ball in the air to balance his feet outside the ropes and come back in to grab the free-falling ball. The fact that Nitish was aware of the ropes and the agility he showed to complete the catch neatly led the Twitterverse into an appreciation.
