A perfect full toss can sometimes be ruined by factors like extreme heat, turning it into a dead ball. A similar moment unfolded during the clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings, where Nehal Wadhera’s sweaty eyes caused by the heat forced Shami’s pinpoint full toss to be called dead.

‌Punjab got off to a blazing start after skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bat, with openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh racing to 53 in just three overs. Though Priyansh fell in the fourth and Singh departed in the seventh over to debutant Eeshan Malinga, Iyer kept the momentum going alongside Nehal Wadhera. At the halfway mark, Punjab stood strong at 120 for 2, with Iyer leading the charge by smashing the fastest fifty of his IPL career in just 22 balls.A few moments later, Nehal Wadhera had a close call when Shami’s full toss crashed into the stumps, seemingly ending his stay. However, there was a twist in the tale.

After being hit for a four on the fifth ball of the 13th over, Shami prepared to bowl the next delivery. He ran in and delivered a low full toss, but Wadhera pulled out at the last moment. The ball flew through and shattered the middle stump, but Wadhera explained that something had come in front of his eyes, likely sweat dripping from his forehead. He immediately apologised to Shami, who calmly reloaded for the next delivery. The moment caught the attention of fans, who quickly took to social media to share their reactions.
