IND vs SA | Twitter laughs as Kohli puppeteers Kuldeep into a waltz after four-fer against South Africa

Who does not love a song and dance on the sports field every now and then? Virat Kohli was in impeccable mood during the third ODI against South Africa in Vizag as India sailed to victory, and he made sure he infected the rest of the team too with his energy even if it meant playing puppet master.

India sealed their third successive ODI series at home in Vizag on Sunday with a nine-wicket bashing of South Africa to take the honours with a scoreline of 2-1. Stand-in skipper KL Rahul broke a 20-match toss-losing streak in the format for the Men in Blue to ask the tourists to bat first and for once get on the better side of the significant dew factor that saw 350 chased down in the previous affair in Raipur. Quinton de Kock made most of the hard ball early on as he flayed an 80-ball ton before a blistering Prasidh Krishna spell in the middle saw the tourists collapse to 199/5. The onus fell on the in-form Dewald Brevis and Marco Jansen to take their team to a competitive total, a path they set out on with confidence and stitched together 35 without much ado. However, Rahul felt the moment was opportune to bowl out his trump spinner Kuldeep Yadav, and the veteran repaid the faith by dispatching both batters in the same over. The hosts were in the ascendancy, and Virat Kohli made sure his team celebrated the fact.

Kuldeep followed -up the double-wicket effort with a solitary run in the 41st over, before extracting some extra bounce in his ensuing set to force a simple return catch off Corbin Bosch. With the last recognized batter thus back in the hut, the Proteas were practically confirmed to be restricted for a sub-par total, which brought Kohli rushing in to celebrate with the spin wizard. However, as Kuldeep opened up his body to embrace Kohli's looming hand over his shoulder, the latter used his spare right hand to clutch Kuldeep's right hand and broke into a litte waltzing shimmy. A wry smile slowly spread across Kuldeep's face, who then held onto Kohlis back with his other hand and played along to his whims, eventually ending with figures of 4/41.

Twitterati was thoroughly amused.
