Virat Kohli is back in India, as he was spotted in Delhi and Mumbai a few days back. Fans expected that he would be meeting Lionel Messi in either of his tours of India. But Kohli came back to the country for some other reason, as he was spotted in Vrindavan.

Virat Kohli is currently in India, as he left for some time after the series against South Africa. He returned a few days after the series was over, and fans anticipated him to meet Lionel Messi. When Kohli arrived in India with his wife, Anushka Sharma, the Messi tour also started.

The reports said that he would meet Messi in Mumbai or Delhi, but neither of them happened. Instead, Virat Kohli was present in Vrindavan today with his wife, as he went for a religious tour. Kohli also visited Premanand Ji Maharaj, to take his blessings ahead of the upcoming series for the Indian team.

1. Kohli's Unavailability in Messi Tour

Virat Kohli landed in Mumbai first, and it was reported that he would be a part of Messi’s Mumbai tour. But that didn't happen, and Kohli was also seen in Delhi, where fans expected him to meet Messi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. However, Kohli was also not present in this tour, which raised some questions on why he was not available for the same, despite being in Delhi.

The DDCA President also said that the footballers asked about Virat Kohli. A viral photo showed that the DDCA President was showing the Virat Kohli Pavilion to Luis Suárez, and he talked about it. He said, “Luis Suarez asked me about Virat Kohli Pavillion and we discussed about Virat Kohli's popularity across the world.”

Just when questions were raised on why Virat Kohli was present in Delhi, a video went viral on the internet. It showed that Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, had gone to Vrindavan to seek the blessings of Premanand Ji Maharaj. A video of the same has gone viral all over the internet, and fans now know why Virat Kohli came back to Delhi.

This is also not the first time when he visited Vrindavan to seek the blessings of Premanand Ji Maharaj. He also went there on several occasions, and it has been wholesome every time for the fans to watch the same. Along with that, it should be noted that Virat Kohli is a part of Delhi's team now for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

This could also be another reason why he has returned to India, and this time with his wife. Following the matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he will also be gearing up for the ODI series against New Zealand, which will be taking place in January 2026.

3. Kohli in 2025

In 2025, Virat Kohli has done well with the bat. Although the year may have some tough times for him, he was able to overcome the challenges and step back stronger. It all started well for Virat Kohli, when he ended as second highest run scorer for India in the Champions Trophy. Along with that, the Indian team also won the tournament, with Kohli being a part of the same.

Following this, a tough time came for Virat Kohli, as he decided to call off his Test career. A player who once said that he wants to score 10000 runs in Test cricket, retired way earlier. His Test retirement came a few weeks before the India tour of England, and it shook the entire cricketing world.

But then, the destiny changed for Virat Kohli to reward him with something he always wanted. Finally in the 18th season of the IPL, Virat Kohli was able to lay his hands on the trophy for the very first time. The season 18 came to be fortunate for number 18, as he also finished as the top run scorer for RCB in the tournament.

Later, Kohli marked his comeback in the ODI format in the series against Australia and South Africa. Out of both series, he did his best in the series against South Africa, scoring 302 runs in 3 matches with 2 centuries and one half-century. Now, Kohli has regained his spot at number two in the ICC ODI Rankings, and he now aims to be back at one.
