Sports wouldn’t be half a thing without the fans who crave to witness their team or players’ success. The Indian fans captivated the Dubai International Stadium with an amusing celebration as they replicated Bangladesh’s infamous ‘nagin dance’ in the second game of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Eyeing to bat first in the tournament's first game in Dubai, Bangladesh lost early wickets as Mohammad Shami and Harshit Rana struck in the first couple of overs, respectively. After a brief period of steady phase, Shami removed Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the first powerplay before Axar came into the attack and struck Tanzid Hasan Tamim sparking unrealistic drama revolving around the umpire.

After attacking the stumps to yield a dot on the first ball of the ninth over, Axar sprayed the next ball widish outside the stumps by dragging the length back. The southpaw tried to nab at it but ended up with a faint edge that no Indian player realised except wicketkeeper KL Rahul. The Karnataka-based cricketer yelled instantaneously after catching the ball before strolling towards the bowler to discuss a potential outside edge. The on-field umpire, Paul Reiffell, initially was unmoved by the appeal before raising his finger lately.

Subsequently, the Bangladeshi pair had a brief conference and wished to review but couldn’t as they were late to catch up with the drs countdown timer. Eventually, the batter had to walk off the field and the cameras focused on a few fans that were replicating the infamous Nagin dance popularised by Bangladeshi cricketers. The Twitterverse enjoyed every bit of the drama and buzzed about it.
