Under Rassie van der Dussen’s guidance, South Africa commanded well in the chase, negating both pace and spin with no hurry. A boundary on occasions would do good as Rassie followed Klaasen in the half-century list of the match, curtailing the equation to 29 required off 25 overs. The tag team almost pulled off the chase, but Adil Rashid ended up with a consolation scalp with just five needed. A six from David Miller was enough to seal the deal as the Proteas topped the Group B stage with five points and headed towards the semi-finals.
